I'm Ron Burgundy?

I feel like Will Ferrell in that Anchorman scene. But instead, my question would be "I'm a blogger?" I don't think I can officially say that yet, seeing as this as my first post and there's really nothing substantive yet. Nevertheless, I will make an attempt at blogging. If I want my mother to read it, I'll have to delineate what a blog is and assure her that it is safe (even though I am married with two kiddos, I know she still frets about my safety).

So, why make a blog, you might ask? Well, I've been thinking about joining some baking groups and lots of folks in these groups have a blog so I figured I might as well jump on the blogging bandwagon. I'm hoping it will spur me to cook/bake more often, which would make my husband ecstatic. It's not that I don't cook or bake, I do. It's that fact that we own hundreds of cookbooks, some of which I've ogled the pictures, but not actually prepared anything from the cookbook (Husband is a talented cook himself, so I'm sure he'll get in on the process too). I hope to learn more about my cooking prowess in the process and preserve my trials, tribulations and successes on the eternal world wide web. I'd also like to review some of the restaurants and bakeries I visit around Orange County, that way I'll remember which places are actually worth our hard earned money. Maybe I'll even make some new bloggy friends along the way.

So now to consider my first attempt.....
